CBSE Class 12-science Answered
The output section of a common emitter transistor is supposed to be connected in reverse bias.Since both semiconductors(collector and emitter)are the same(either n or p),how is it possible to connect them in reverse bias?

Here collector and emitter are different and we make only emitter common not collector. Here to make base -collector junction reverse baised( say in npn transistor), we have to keep collector(n) at higher potential and base(p) at lower potential, In this case one may notice that both base and collector are at positive potential (for npn common emitter)
so what to do here? We will keep base at lower positive potential and collector at higher positive potential.
