The mean monthly salary of 10 members of a group is Rs1445,one more member whose monthly salary is Rs1500 has joined the group.Find the mean monthly salary of 11 members.

We know that:
Mean = sum of all observations/ number of observations
 
Mean monthly salary of 10 members = Rs 1445
So, total salary of 10 members = Rs 1445 x 10 = Rs 14450
 
Now, one more member whose monthly salary is Rs1500 has joined the group.
So, total salary of 11 members = Rs 14450 + Rs 1500 = Rs 15950
 
Thus, mean monthly salary of 11 members = Rs 15950/11 = Rs 1450
