The height of a cone is 30cm.A small cone is cut off parallel to the base.If its volume is 1/125th the volume of the cone,then at what height above the base is the section made ?

Consider the bigger cone of height 30 cm.
H= 30 cm
Let R and r be the radii of bigger and the smaller cones respectively.
Let h be the height of the smaller cone.
By similar triangles property,
Thus,
Let V1 and V2 be the volumes of the bigger and the smaller cones respectively.
