Consider the bigger cone of height 30 cm.

H= 30 cm

Let R and r be the radii of bigger and the smaller cones respectively.

Let h be the height of the smaller cone.

By similar triangles property, triangle A B C tilde triangle A D E
Thus,

h over H equals r over R rightwards double arrow h over 30 equals r over R rightwards double arrow r equals h over 30 cross times R
Let V1 and V2 be the volumes of the bigger and the smaller cones respectively.
