In triangle ADC

h / y = tan 60o

h/ y = 3

h = y3          ..........(1)

Now, In triangle ABC

h/x = tan 30o

h/x = 1/ 3

h = x/ 3  .............(2)

Multiplying (1) and (2), we get

h2 = xy

h = xy

Hence Proved.
