sum of even natural numbers

Even Numbers between 101 and 999 are

102,104,.....998

So its an AP with First term 102 and common difference 2

Now  we need to  find the number of terms

Let there are n terms so

998 = 102+(n-1)2

So 896 = (n-1)2

or n=449

So the sum is given by

449/2(102+998)

=246,950
