State differences between primary and secondary structure of proteins.

The order in which the amino acids are joined in one more polypeptide chains of a proteins is called primary structure. It gives its function and is critical of its biological activity.
The secondary structure determines the manner in which the protein chain is folded. It arises from the planner geometry of the peptide bond and hydrogen bonds between one region of the backbone to another.
