Speed of different colours while passing through the prism

Expert Answer:

When light is made to pass through a prism,it gets refractes and splits into vaious colours. The colour which has mminimum wavelength is refracted most so at the end it is going to be at the lower end while the colour which has maximum wavelength is going to be at the top as it is refracted least( net refraction). Thus we can get the colour which travels through maximum speed.
