sin 75 = Height/Length of the leg.
Length of a leg = 1.5/sin 75
sin 75 = sin (30+45) = sin 30 cos 45 + sin 45 cos 30 = 1/22 +
3/2
2 = (1+
3)/2
2
Length of a leg = 1.5/(1+3)/2
2 = 3
2/(1+
3) = 1.55 m
We need to put two steps, so that they divide the total length in 3 equal parts, so height/3 = 1.5/3 = 1/2 = 0.5.
Length of the top step required = 0.5 + 2x,
where x = 0.5/tan 75 = 0.13.
Length of the top step = 0.76 m
Similarly length of second step = 0.5 + 2/tan 75 = 1.04 m
