h / x = tan β,

h / (a +x ) = tan α tan β/ tan α  = ( a +x)/ x

cross multiplying and solving x = a tan α / ( tan β - tan α )

Now tan α= h / x , or h = x tan β=

atanα tanβ divided by tanβ-tanα.
