Let the angle between the two strings be x, tension in string be T and charge on each sphere be q.
We have,
length of chord=r=0.04=2(0.4)sinx/2
x=2sin-10.05 =5.7320
Now writing equations in horizontal and vertical repectively
,Tcosx/2=mg
Tsinx/2=kq2/r2
Dividing the two equations and solving for q,
q=(r2mgtanx/2 /k)0.5 =(0.0016*0.02*10tan2.866/9*109)=4.22*10-8 C
