Here, the second equation is the multiple of the first equation.
 
That is 9 x minus 3 y minus 9 equals 3 open parentheses 3 x minus y minus 3 close parentheses
 
We need two equations to find the values of the variables x and y.
 
The equation 3 x minus y equals 3 is the equation of the straight line and hence it has infinitely many solutions.
 
Observe the following graph of the straight line.
