Basic principle is , wave is getting reflected without inversion at free end . But at fixed end, wave is reflected with inversion.
 
(A) distance travelled, (L/v)×v = L , wave is getting reflected from free end.  waveform is P
 
(B) distance travelled, (2L/v)×v = 2L, wave is getting reflected at fixed end , waveform is R
 
(C) distance travelled, (3L/v)×v = 3L, second reflection from free end, waveform is S
