Mathematical equation for Newton's law of Gravitation :

F = G M m / r2

here, M is the mass of Earth , m is the mass of body and r is the distance between them.

Now, F = mg ( from second law of motion)

substituiting the same in mathematical eqn we get,

mg = G M m / r2

or, g = G M / r 2 , which is the required relation between 'g' and 'G'.
