1. 2p, p+10 , 3p+2 are in AP
So, 3p + 2 - p - 10 = p + 10 - 2p
2p - 8 = 10 - p
3p = 18
p = 6
2. Sn = 2n2 + 5n
We know an = Sn - Sn - 1
Using this formula, you can calculate the nth term of the AP.
3. nth term of an AP is 7-4n.
a1 = 7-4*1=3
a2 =7-4*2= -1
a3 =7-4*3 =-5
ap: 3,-1,-5.............
d =a2-a1
-1-3 =-4
d=-4
Similarly, you can try out other questions by yourself and if you face any problem, then let us know.
The following formulas will be useful for you in solving these questions.
nth term = an = a + (n-1)d
Sum of n terms = Sn = n/2 [2a + (n-1)d]
a1 = 7-4*1=3
a2 =7-4*2= -1
a3 =7-4*3 =-5
ap: 3,-1,-5.............
d =a2-a1
-1-3 =-4
d=-4
