The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The longitudnal distance between Arunachal Pradesh in east and Gujarat in the West is of about 30 degrees. India does not follow local time zones but one standard time. The Standard Meridian of India having the longitude 82°30’E, which passes through Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh is considered as the standard time for the whole country. Thus, the sun rises two hours earlier in Arunachal Pradesh as compared to Gujarat in the West but the watches show the same time as we follow only one standard time.
