Make sure your basics are clear. For example, you should know that reduced scale factor figures are smaller in size and enlarged scale factor figures are larger in size.
When you are to construct a line parallel to a side (while constructing similar figures, or dividing a line in a given ratio),
then make sure that you measure the given angle properly and then make an alternate angle equal to it by keeping your compass appropriately tight so that while drawing second arc, the radius doesn't gets changed.
In the same way, while constructing tangent to a given circle, make sure that the perpendiclar you draw is correct by drawing the arcs properly.
