Consider two stones of masses m1 and m2, m21

F1=Gm1M/r2

 

F2=Gm2M/r2

Now F1 = m1a1 and F2=m2a2

Now a1 = (Gm1M/r2)/m1 = GM/r2

a2 = (Gm2M/r2)/m2 = GM/r2

As we can see a1=a2, despite different masses.
