Expert Answer

Antiferromagnetism: It can be explained as the phenomenon exhibited by some materials in which complete magnetic moment cancellation occurs as a result of antiparallel coupling of adjacent atoms or ions. The macroscopic solid of an antiferromagnetic material has no net magnetic moment.

That means in antiferromagnetism, magnetic field creates parallel but opposing spins; varies with temperature

Diamagnetism: Substances which are weakly repelled by the external magnetic field are called diamagnetic substances. The property thus exhibited is called diamagnetism. This property is shown by those substances which contain fully filled orbitals and no unpaired electron is present. For example: H2O, NaCl
