sir it is given that a linear equation is in the form ax+bx+c where a and b both are not equal to zero then in this question 5x=7 we would do 5x+0y-7=0. but here b=0

Expert Answer:

In a linear equation ax + by + c= 0,  a and b cannot be zero at the same time.
It is possible that a = 0 and b is non-zero
and also b= 0 and a is non zero.
