1) The ball is thrown vertically. Then, it falls down after reaching maximum height. Througout the motion, the acceleration is same, that is acceleration due to gravity. Thus, the velocity-time graph will be a straight line inclined to time axis.
2) The acceleration due to gravity varies with depth as:
g' = g [1 - (d/R)]
Thus, g varies directly with depth d.
Now, this variation is till the surface of earth, that is, inside the earth.
Outside the eart, g varies as
g' = GR2/(R+h)2
Thus, variation of g from centre of earth outwards is
