CBSE Class 12-science Answered

Sir, I have an Ammeter. When I connect it to 1.5 V battery across 2 ohm resistor, the reading is 1.2 A. When I remove the resistor of 2 ohm, and then connect it to 1.5 V battery, even then it gives the same reading 1.2 A. So please tell me how to connect an Ammeter across resistor with figure, if possible.

Acually an ammeter is supposed to be connected in series to the circuit.
In the earlier case it was acting like a voltmeter but a faulty one.
