Sir I AM CONFUSED THAT IF IN A LINEAR EQUATION IN TWO VARIABLES BOTH a AND B ARE NOT EQUAL TO 0 .SO WHILE CHANGING A EQUATION LIKE 5x = -7 .Why do we use 0y As here 0 means b and in the A LINEAR EQUATION IN TWO VARIABLES BOTH a AND B ARE NOT EQUAL TO 0?

According to definition of linear equation in two variables both the constants a and b must not be zero simultaneously one of them can take the value zero.
