Velocity of an object refers to its instantaneous velocity. If a particle has a displacement dx in time dt, then velocity is given as:
v=dx/dt
Average velocity refers to net displacement over a period of time Δt,
<v>=Δx/Δt=Integral(vdt)/integral (dt)
