1.what are alkalies?
2.what are the difference between bases and alkalies?
3.why bases are alkalies and alkalies are not bases?

Bases are classified as soluble bases and insoluble bases.
Solublle bases are called alkali.
Example : NaOH and KOH.
Example for insoluble bases are Ca(OH)2, Cu(OH)2
