The nth term of a GP is given by,

an = arn-1

where a is the initial term and r is the common ratio.

p = a5 = ar4,

q = a8 = ar7,

s = a11 = ar10

q2 = (ar7)2 = a2r14 = (ar10)(ar4) = sp = ps.
