Salts can be acidic, basic or neutral depends on the strength of the acid or base.
For example- NaCl is made up of NaOH( strong acid) and HCl (strong base) so it will be neutral.
AlCl3 is made up of Al(OH)3 (weak base) and HCl (strong acid) so it will be acidic.
Na2CO3 is made up of NaOH (strong base) and H2CO3 (weak acid) so it will be basic.
(NH4)2CO3 is made up of NH4OH(weak base) and H2CO3 (weak acid) so it will be neutral.
