CBSE Class 12-science Answered
resolving power

Expert Answer
The amount of detail depends on the resolving power of a microscope, which is the smallest separation at which two separate objects can be distinguished (or resolved).
Resolution is the ability to tell two points apart as separate points. If
the resolving power of your lens is 2um that means two points that are 2um
apart can be seen as separate points. If they are closer together than that,
they will blend together into one point.
