Resistance

In order to have same current as the other appliances in combination have, the resistance of the iron should be equal to the resultant resistance of the appliances connected in parallel.
therefore
1/ Rtotal =(1/100) + (1/50) + (1/500)
1/ Rtotal =(5 + 10 + 1) / 500
Rtotal = (500 / 16) ohm
Current i = V / Rtotal = 220 x 16 / 500 = 7.04 A
