relation beween Power and Resistance?

Expert Answer:

Both expressions are valid it's only the contants that are different, but are related by Ohm's law.

We'll gererally use the first expression, telling us that the power is directly propotional to the resistance.

Power is the energy per unit time. As the energy increases, the KE of free electrons increases, and they collide more frequently with other electrons. This represents higher resistance.

This justifies the first expression.
