(refer to the last few lines of pg 37 of NCERT Textbook and fig. 2.8)At a given temperature, intensity of radiation emitted increases with decrease of wavelength, reaches a maximum value at a given wavelength and then it starts decreasing with further decrease of wavelength. Why it starts decreasing after reaching a value?? why it doesn't keep on increasing or decreasing with decrease in wavelength??

Due to release of significant and different amount of energy it starts decreasing after reaching a value.
