Given polynomial is P(x) = 9x2 - 3x/4 - root2 = 0
9 x squared minus 3 over 4 x minus square root of 2 equals 0 9 x squared minus 2 cross times 3 x cross times 1 over 8 minus square root of 2 equals 0 open parentheses 3 x close parentheses squared minus 2 cross times 3 x cross times 1 over 8 plus open parentheses 1 over 8 close parentheses squared minus open parentheses 1 over 8 close parentheses squared minus square root of 2 equals 0 open parentheses 3 x close parentheses squared minus 2 cross times 3 x cross times 1 over 8 plus 1 over 64 minus 1 over 64 minus square root of 2 equals 0 open parentheses 3 x minus 1 over 8 close parentheses squared equals 1 over 64 plus square root of 2

So the constant which must added and subtracted is 1/64.
