Expert Answer:

6q+5 = 3 (3q) + 3+ 2

          = 3 (3q +1) +2

Now if we take a q' = 3q+1

6q+5 = 3q'+2

since q' > q and for all values of q there is a q' but not necessarily of the form of 6q+5
