Parallel combination of  R1 and RL is replaced by its equivalent resistance 1.2 kΩ in the left side figure
 
Current drawn from battery = 24 V / ( 2 + 1.2 ) kΩ = 7.5 mA
 
Voltage drop across R2 = 7.5 mA × 2 kΩ = 15 V. 
 
Hence voltage drop across parallel combination of R1 and RL is 9 V
 
Hence only Statement-I is correct
