(i) (-3, 6) and (2, -6)
Distance space between space these space two space points space equals space square root of open parentheses negative 3 minus 2 close parentheses squared plus open parentheses 6 plus 6 close parentheses squared end root equals square root of 25 plus 144 end root equals square root of 169 equals 13
(ii) (-a, -b) and (a, b)
Distance space between space these space two space points space equals space square root of open parentheses negative straight a minus straight a close parentheses squared plus open parentheses negative straight b minus straight b close parentheses squared end root equals square root of 4 straight a squared plus 4 straight b squared end root equals 2 square root of straight a squared plus straight b squared end root
