Yes, the answer is not correct, we apologize.
The kinetic energy of a charged particle in cyclotron will change if the speed of the particle changes, magnetic field always changes the direction of a charged particle and NOT it's speed.
Because F = q(vXB)
as we can see from the equation the force vector is perpendicular to the plane containing v and B, as per rules of cross product.
