Q.In proving the trigonometric identities such as (cosec?-cot?)2=1-cos?/1+cos?,can we simplify both L.H.S and R.H.S separately to prove it or not?[According to board exams.].

Yes, you can do that. You can simplify both LHS and RHS to have the same expression. If you have that, then you can say that LHS = RHS.
