Meta-xylene is the most stable isomer among all the three xylene isomers. The reason is,
  • In m-carbonium ion, the two methyl groups in one of the canonical structures of m-xylene is capable of partially neutralizing the positive charges on the ring carbon atoms. 
  • In the other two isomers only one methyl group can act in this way.
  • Hence the m-carbonium ion will be more stable than the other two.
