Q- Why carbon always form covalent bond?

Carbon need four electron to complete its octet and carbon doesn't have such a high nuclear charge to form ion and carbon has only one option to do that is to do sharing with other atoms present nearby to him.
Always remember that covalent is always formed betweeen non metal and non metal.
