Adrenaline is secreted into blood and carried to various parts of the body. Its target organs include the heart. Hence heart beats faster, resulting in supply of more oxygen to our muscles. The blood supply to digestive system and skin is reduced. This diverts blood to skeletal muscles. Breathing rate is also increased due to contractions of diaphragm and rib muscles. All these responses enable the body to deal with emergency situations.
