Q how can we find the shortest distance between two moving objects?

Expert Answer:

Suppose the objects are initially at points A and B and they start moving at the same instant of time. As seen from the diagram, the shortest distance between them will be AB=100m (initially); thereafter the distance between them goes on increasing.

By similart arguments, the shortest distance between them will be 100m in the second case as well.
