mass percentage = (mass of solute / mass of solution) * 1oo
2.5 = (mass of solute / 500) * 1oo
mass of solute i.e. glucose = 12.5 g
mass of solution = 500 g
mass of solvent i.e. water = 500 - 12.5 = 487.5 g
