projectile motion

The trajectory in projectile motion is a parabola, i.e. vertical distance is y, and at the same time horizontal distance is x.
y2 = Ax ... where A is a constant term,
y = ±(Ax)
As we can see there are two y values one is positive and one is negative, it means two different same vertical distances when the projectile is moving up and other when it's moving down. Simply while doing so it'll pass through a point at the same vertical height, but this happens at two different time instants. One when the projectile is moving up i.e. accelerated upwards, and second when it's moving downward i.e. accelerated downwards.
