The term precision refers to closeness of the values of different measurements of a quantity. WHEN THE VALUES OF DIFFERENT MESUREMENTS ARE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER AND HENCE CLOSE TO THEIR AVERAGE VALUE, THE MEASUREMENT IS SAID TO BE PRECISE.
