Since f(x) is a cubic polynomial it will have 3 zeroes. Whats the 3 zero

You need that   to use the relation between the cofficients and the zeroes. otherwise use the following

a-b, and a+b are zeroes of the polynomial f(x)=2x^3-6x^2+5x-7

then f(a-b) = 0 and f(a+b) = 0

f(a-b) = 2 (a-b)3  - 6 (a-b)2 + 5(a-b)-7

f(a+b) = 2 (a+b)3  - 6 (a+b)2 + 5(a+b)-7

Solve this to get a and b
