Dear Student
Given that 20 div = 100 mA
so each div = 100/20 = 5 mA.
Initially when the current flow is zero, the ammeter pointer reads 3 div.
After the current is allowed to pass, the pointer is at 17 div after 200 mA,
that means the pointer is at 20 div + 20 div +17 div = 57th div.
Negating the initial zero erro of 3 div, the correct reading would be 57 - 3 = 54 div.
Hence the value of the current thorugh the ammeter is 54 div x 5 mA = 270 mA.
That is the value of the current flowing through the circuit.
We hope that clarifies your query.
