Let's pick θ = 30

x = cos30+tan30 = 3/2 + 1/3 = 5/23

y = sec30+cos30 = 2/3 + 3/2 = 7/23

(x2y) = (25/12)(7/23) =  175/243

(y2x) = (49/12)(5/23) = 245/243

so,

(x 2 y) 2/3  - (x y 2 ) 2/3 

= (1/243)2/3(1752/3 - 2452/3)

= -7.86/12 = -0.655 1

LHS RHS.

Please clarify, since above analysis shows the equations is incorrect.
