3tanθ = 3sinθ

3sinθ/cosθ = 3sinθ

cosθ = 3/3

cos2θ = 3/9

sin2θ = 1 - cos2θ = 1 - 3/9 = 6/9

sin2θ - cos2θ = 6/9 - 3/9 = 3/9 = 1/3
