In the lower trianlge, with hypotenuse OA, the anlge A is 180 - 90 - 30 = 60.

Hence the OAC = 180 - 30 - 60 = 90

Length of the pole = AC

sin 30 = 10/OA

OA = 20 m

AOC = 60-30 = 30

tan 30 = AC/OA

AC = OA tan 30 = 20x1/3 = 203/3 m = Length of pole.
