Dear student,

The fuse  depends only on the current and not on the lengths of the wires used. When the current flow increases the fuse wire melts thereby cutting the particular circuit off. This depends on the wire's melting point and not the length.

Definitely, two wires of equal melting point and different lengths would melt at the same time for the same value of current flowing through them.
