Volume of water flowing per min = velocity in m/min x cross sectional area of pipe
= (10 m/min)x(πx(2.5x10-3 m)2)
Radius of cone = 40 cm/2 = 20 cm = 0.20 m
Height of cone = 24 cm = 0.24 m
Volume of the cone = πR2h/3 = π(0.20)2(0.24)/3
Time required to fill the conical vessel = Volume of vessel/Volumetric flow rate
= (π(0.20)2(0.24)/3 )/((10)x(πx(2.5x10-3)2)
= 51.2 min
